On Saturday, 41-year-old UFC Light Heavyweight Glover Teixeira defeated Thiago Santos via third round submission.
Teixeira is the No. 1 contender, second only to champion Jan Blachowicz. He made his UFC debut all the way back in 2012 and is now reviving his career in a way no one expected.
The incredible heart and ability to handle adversity has kept Teixeira in the conversation for a chance at the title. However, recent news shows that Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya was planning to jump up a division and try to become a double champ.
After beating the likes of Santos, Anthony Smith, Nikita Krylov, and other top prospects, does Teixeira deserve a title shot? Is there anyone else to beat before taking on the champ, or do we give way to Adesanya? Let us know!
