Floyd Mayweather Jr has continued to expand his business ventures with a chain of gyms dedicated to recreating his personal routine for gym-goers. The first such gym was opened up in Los Angeles back in 2018 and included a virtual reality workout where you could train against an avatar of Mayweather himself. Mayweather hopes to eventually have over 500 gyms in the U.S. and abroad.
The boxing legend has recently opened up a new location in Chicago’s River North. Mayweather Boxing and Fitness opened in March before subsequently closing for the pandemic but is now up and running again.
The gym boasts intense training regimens designed by Mayweather himself to help customers “train like the champ.” Amenities include small group training sessions and a boxing ring. There are also plans to open up a new location in Chicago’s South Loop.
