Surprisingly enough, MMA is not recognized as a sport in many countries. Although this hasn’t been a point of conversation in America for a long time, more and more countries are starting to come around to the idea of combat sports.
Although the UFC is headquartered in the United States, it holds tons of overseas events.MMA has a huge international presence, but some countries are adverse to change.
Most recently, Bellator just hosted the first major MMA event in France since the recent legalization of the sport. Can France be a industry leader for other countries to come around and either legalize or recognize MMA as a sport? Let us know!
