Jaizinho Rozenstruik dominated at UFC 252, where he scored a brutal second-round knockout of former UFC Heavyweight Champion Junior Dos Santos.
Rozenstruik moved up to No. 4 on the UFC Heavyweight division rankings (from his previously rank of sixth) and proved that he is more than deserving of a title shot in the near future.
With the win, the 32-year-old now boasts an impressive record of 11-1, his only loss being against No. 1 contender Francis Ngannou.
The bout was a competitive and tactical one to start, with each fighter choosing his shot wisely and only taking what his opponent gave to him. That was until Rozenstruik attacked with a flurry of strikes halfway through the second round.
Dos Santos had no counter for the blitz, and he was knocked down twice in the span of seconds. The ref mercifully called the fight after it became obvious that he would not overcome the blitz attack.
The loss was the third in a row for former UFC headliner Dos Santos, whose career could soon be in jeopardy if he is unable to get back into the winning column soon.
Do you think Rozenstruik is ready for a title fight after Ngannou and Miocic face off? If so, who do you think he would have the best odds against? Let us know in the comment section below!
