On Saturday, UFC Welterweight Colby Covington dominated Tyron Woodley in the UFC Fight Night main event. Although the fight lasted until the fifth and final round, it was Covington who controlled the clinch and consistently landed more significant strikes.
This win for the No. 2-ranked contender in the division begs the question: who will fight him next?
On one hand, the dominating win may prompt a title fight against current champion Kamaru Usman in the near future. On the other, some say this win doesn’t carry much weight because Tyron Woodley is at the end of his career and hasn’t won a bout since 2018.
Some personalities on Twitter suggest that Covington should face No. 3-ranked contender Leon Edwards before having another title shot.
Who do you think should be Covington’s next opponent? Let us know!
