In the MMA, there is the rare matchup that captures fan attention despite never making it to the Octagon. Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz 3, Tony Ferguson vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov, just to name a few. These are superfights that have a ton of hype. They have the potential to draw huge Pay-Per-View dividends and are surely a sight to see in the cage.
A matchup between Jon Jones and Israel Adesanya is one of the current superfights that has people talking. Jones is the No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter in the UFC and Adesanya is the current Middleweight Champion. Both are UFC legends with several huge wins under their belts.
Now, the long-fueled rivalry between the two is stronger than ever, with both taking to Twitter and exchanging insults and personal digs against each other.
Some say that this rivalry has boiled over and needs to be settled in the Octagon. Do you think we will ever see a Jones-Adesanya main event? Or, do you think this will fall by the wayside and become yet another superfight that never comes to fruition? Let us know!
