With the first half of the 2021 Professional Fighters League season out of the way, PFL 4 is up next and just a few weeks away.
The PFL 4 card was just announced, and there are a few matchups and fighters to keep an eye on during this second half.
Headlining the event will be former UFC champion Anthony Pettis against undefeated Alex Martinez. Despite losing to Clay Collard in his PFL debut, Pettis will main-event his second card in a row at the lightweight division. Collard has been dropped down to the preliminary card.
The co-main event will be at 145 pounds between Bubba Jenkins and Anthony Dizy. Jenkins pulled off a huge upset over 2-time PFL champ Lance Palmer the first time around, so expectations are high for him to deliver moving forward.
In the main event, there are only three PFL regular season bouts and one interesting fight that does not count for the season total. The latter will be the MMA debut of boxing standout Claressa Shields, which has been teased for the past few months. She will face off against Brittney Elkin in a bout that will not count toward the regular season’s totals.
PFL 4’s prelim card is stacked full of top contenders at the lightweight and featherweight divisions. Natan Schulte, Marcin Held, and Movlid Khaybulaev are all notable names to kick off PFL 4 on June 10. To watch, tune into ESPN+ starting at 6 p.m. EST and ESPN2 at 10 p.m. EST.
